AIP-514: 3D Printing and Reward for APE
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
We aim to materialize IPs and provide community members the opportunity to own their 3D models for free. We would also like to provide income for APE community members by offering booths for 3D IP model display and sale (confirmed 1 place in Taiwan called ‘RUH CAFE;’ will find one more spot to sell and display), with all net profits going back to the APE community members. Apecoin exclusively will be used for transactions throughout the process.
We will print 3D models (tentative dimensions - Height:12-30CM, Weight:150-400G) for APE community members, such as KODA, BAYC, MAYC, Mocaverse, etc. For IPs without 3D modeling, we will provide 3D modeling diagram for up to 100 NFTs. For those with 3D models, we will print it for members directly. Each KODA, BAYC, MAYC, and Mocaverse holder can print their model once and choose to sell or keep it. Holders would be expected to provide their address, postal code and phone number for shipping, and those interested in printing a second NFT model would need to queue up again to print. Each model will have the “Powered by Apecoin” logo

Also,we will use the official Twitter to contact and send back the income to them within 1 month. All revenues received will be returned to the holders.

AIP-572: Podcastization of ApeCoin Spaces on APECHAIN! (Resubmission)
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
We want to start with a tangible proof of concept that showcases the podcastization of ApeCoin’s X Spaces while demonstrating on-chain content distribution, Web2-Web3 integration on Apechain, and new opportunities for $APE.
Why focus on Spaces? Because they are crucial arenas where our community thrives, engages in discussions, learns, promotes, onboards newcomers to the DAOs, AIP authors pitch their proposals, Apes and Mocas receive Apechain, Yuga, Moca, Sandbox and Otherside updates, and more. However, these sessions require significant time commitments at inconvenient hours. To address this, we plan to:
Download all recorded ApeCoin-related Spaces, edit and divide them into standalone episodes, crafted according to the host’s outline and the dynamic of each Space. This includes content from ApeComms, ApeCoinGWG News, Bulls on the Block, Bodega, Meet at the Clubhouse, UGH Mocaverse and all other relevant Spaces, including the growing Apechain Spaces.
After post-production, all these episodes will be uploaded to Apechain and distributed across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and other platforms, as well as on Dixo OnChain platform running on Apechain where members of the community will be able to leave feedback, rating (and extras) in exchange for rewards. We already did an example with Meet at the Clubhouse DEC 6, 2024:

All episodes’ podcast metadata (episode titles, covert art, descriptions, etc) will be stored on Apechain. Audio files will be stored on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) and links to the IPFS audio files will also be included in the Apechain metadata, making it a totally decentralized content. In total, we will produce 200 ApeCoin Ecosystem’s X Spaces (more than 1000 episodes and more than 500 hours of audio).

Because podcasts are the most direct, natural, and cost-effective way to communicate. That’s why listeners are growing worldwide nonstop. We propose organizing an official attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the largest Gin & Tonic during NFT Paris 2025 in Paris. This event aims to engage the ApeCoin DAO community, foster creativity and collaboration, and increase media presence for ApeCoin and the upcoming ApeChain. The project will also help promote the ApeCoin ecosystem, creating a platform for connecting with a broad audience interested in NFTs, blockchain, and modern technologies, with the support of ApeCoinDAO, BAYC, MAYC, YugaLabs, and Mocavers community members.

AIP-509: Raising awareness of Ape coin and its ease of use at Traditional Finance Events
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
Having attended several traditional finance conferences during the first half of 2024, I have learned a lot about their views on crypto and more specifically tokens. There is a huge knowledge gap between where the market is and what the finance bros believe. There is a huge number of skeptics and those people when challenged to name three tokens, they struggled, many even believing that there is only one block chain and all tokens sit within it. Others mistakenly called it the “brick-chain”, because each block was similar to a brick and those bricks make up the chain, similar to cementing together a garden wall!
So what is the solution?
I plan to build out my team to own, operate and offer free sessions at traditional finance events using our Coffee Bicycle. A nice warm coffee while you find out about APE and understand that while the Bored Ape Yacht Club was intrinsic in the launch strategy it’s now not its core driving force. I believe we have concentrated on selling to people inside the web3 community and while this is appealing it doesn’t attract enough new customers to offset the staking rewards and tokens being dumped by people who have just become funded.
The advantage of our model is that a percentage of the tokens received will be gifted to new users, allowing them to use ApeChain and purchase a nice warm coffee from our cargo bike, demonstrating how quick and simple it is to make a payment using APE and of course, earning the network another transaction, I believe these types of events are critical to network growth, an increase in network transactions, helps to reassure holders that the chain is alive and working. Having spoken to friends at TEZOS, I know that network activity is a core metric/consideration of any approved grant proposal and I believe that this model will generate transactions and new users, even if it’s only to buy cups of nice warm coffee throughout the winter events. Food and drinks booths have always attracted good footfall at events and with more event organizers removing free coffee stands, I strongly believe this will drive the creation of new wallets and transactions for the network.
So how does the stand work?
The stand will offer free cups of nice warm coffee to those who hold APE coins in their wallet, if the customer does not have any APE coin then they will be shown how to create a coinbase wallet and be sent five APE coin tokens. The web3 educator will help the customer understand web3 and explain how these can then be redeemed for a nice warm coffee, allowing the team to demonstrate the ease of use of APE CHAIN and of course reward the new APE coin holder with a nice warm coffee. Leaving them enough tokens to pop back later and claim a second free coffee. Our event activity will generate one new wallet and three transactions per new customer, at a busy event I would expect to serve a minimum of 200 coffees per day paid for in APE. These customers would likely be new to holding crypto and new to the ecosystem. I will offer quick bite sized fifteen minute web3 explainers and will share them with the wider DAO to ensure the training remains of a suitable standard. The training will also be created as video content and transcribed for a “How to: Ape” book.
How is the business sustainable?
Recycled paper cups and lids made from vegware a full compostable product, water based inks for branding, PVC free printable wrap and of course an eBike base rather than a petrol powered Piaggio APE.
This is where most small businesses would stop and consider themselves green, but for me, this is simply the beginning. I plan to recycle the used coffee grounds into fertilizer to grow mushrooms, these mushrooms will be donated to local food banks, helping to ensure those who need a “help up”, get some nutritious fresh vegetables. Any leftover mushrooms will be converted into animal feed, and again donated to local british farms to help feed livestock.
The cart will also offer orange juice and kombucha to customers, these drinks will be designed to fit within the low carbon business model with as many of the ingredients sourced within 10 miles of production and those that have to be shipped further having at least two purposes, for example our oranges, these will be shipped from mainland europe and as such they will exceed our ideal food miles but I plan to offset this by recycling the the orange peel into fertilizer, this will require washing, which again will be partially offset with the use of fertilizer, helping to improve the mushroom yield. Mushrooms are a low water crop, again making them an ideal product to grow, offsetting carbon dioxide while using a very small amount of water, another precious resource we are conscious of preserving where possible.

How is the APE DAO investment being used?
The requested funds from the DAO will be spent on event tickets and the promoting of APE coin and APE chain, the PVC free wrap containing the logo and MAYC 4455, it will also be used to distribute APE token to new holders, to build/buy/customize APE compatible terminals to process the payments. I intend to ensure the ebike attends a minimum of four traditional finance (TradFi) events per annum and the funds will be distributed over a 60 month period. The funds will also be used to generate bite sized video content and face-to-face training. I expect the coffee eBike to generate additional revenue to cover the associated costs of a mobile coffee business and I do not envisage these costs being met by the DAO grant. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM
I believe that one of the biggest challenges to web3 and DeFi in particular is lack of mainstream adoption, until recently we have only been focused on selling tokens to those who already buy tokens and while this has had some success, it doesn’t solve the wider problem, new users = new liquidity, driving on-chain transactions, raising awareness, creating a positive feedback loop and hopefully helping to stem the outflow of liquidity from project A to project B.
By helping to bridge the knowledge gap between traditional finance and DeFi (decentralized finance) we can help create new wallets, funded with fiat, which is the biggest possible win for web3 and in this case APE. I believe that one token will head down this path and having researched the market, I can envisage, many simply setting up a recurring buy for crypto. Imagine if of the 200 people introduced to APE, 15% set up a recurring order on coinbase, by month 60, those additional monthly sales could total $121,850 (assuming Month on Month growth of 7%), or total sales of c.$1.83 million.

Tranche Funding and Suggested Milestones
One of the crucial discussions that arose during my consultation process was the distribution of $APE. We considered the option of releasing it in phases, a move that would protect the treasury and increase the chances of approval for AIP-509. I fully grasp the concerns and have worked closely with the team, ensuring that everyone’s perspectives are considered when developing a tranche release schedule. This collaborative effort ensures that all stakeholders are involved in the decision-making process, making the proposal more inclusive and effective.
The initial payment of $18,340.07 would be made in $APE (25,046.6201 at the time of writing). This will allow the additional costs of the proposal to be met and ensure the business makes it to at least one event to generate $APE awareness and sign-ups.

PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
Our proposal seeks funding to kick-start the Apechain-powered British luxury tea and coffee IP brand.
Bored British Tea aims to captivate new Web3 enthusiasts by creating awareness through the simple pleasure of a cup of tea and coffee.
Our strategy involves building brand presence by visiting UK universities, libraries, and Web3 summits to offer complimentary cups of tea and coffee while engaging in conversations about Web3 and our Apecoin-powered products.

$12,000 for 3000 packs of 250g Ground traditional coffee at production costs of $4 a pack.

AIP-555: Rebranding ApeCoin: Transition from Ape Skull to New Gorilla Logo
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
This AIP proposes to change the current ApeCoin logo from the ape skull to the new gorilla logo. This rebranding initiative aims to refresh the ApeCoin identity, aligning it with the evolving vision and values of the ApeCoin ecosystem while also enhancing its visual appeal and recognition within the broader crypto community. This AIP also aims to make a more clear distinction between the BAYC community and the DAO community. With the launch of ApeChain, the DAO now has its north star and I believe it is important for it to have its own unique brand/ identity. Updating the logo achieves that objective while also signaling that both the DAO and ApeChain is the place to ape for all, and not just BAYC.

Decentralized Drinks Paris is an exciting new weekly event at Le G Five Bar in Paris, designed to blend the worlds of cryptocurrency and social networking. After the overwhelming success of our monthly meet-ups, we are expanding to a weekly format to further engage the crypto community. To amplify our event’s presence we will proudly display “Powered by ApeCoin” on all our physical and digital supports, including flyers, banners, social media posts, and event tickets. AIP-496: ApeCoin DAO at NFT PARIS 2025
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
The goal of this AIP is to have an ApeCoin DAO (ApeCoin and ApeChain) presence at NFT Paris, the largest web3 event worldwide with 18,000 visitors. The 4th edition will take place on February 13th-14th 2025 and is particularly strong on Art, Brands (both web2 and web3) and Gaming (sponsored by Yuga, Ubisoft, Animoca Brands in 2024). The conference is also expanding with a new venue 50% bigger, increasing the capacity to host more than 20,000 attendees and 3 additional events: RWA Paris (Finance), Ordinals Paris, XYZ Paris (AI, Depin).
A 6x6m main booth close to the entrance with high traffic will be focused on showcasing ApeChain and ApeCoin. It will be conceptualized and shared with the community for feedback.
An island of 8 1x1m booths next to the main booth will feature creators from the ApeCoin Creators Assembly and initiatives from the ApeCoin Working Groups. Depending on the number of creators interested it would either be the same 8 creators for 2 days or 16 creators in total, 8 per day (see Package section for details).
Alongside the booths, a special 10 minutes keynote and a 30 minutes panel will be organized on the Main Stagel. Speakers and content will be curated and shared with the community closer to the event. The sponsoring will also include tickets and a VIP cocktail reception at the venue.

Bored Arcade is set to redefine the gaming experience with a degen twist! The BAYC/YUGA-themed arcade will be exclusively native to ApeChain and powered by $APE coin. Our mission? To craft addictively fun games that are straightforward yet compelling—like the beloved “Dookie Dash.” We get it: The everyday non gamer as well as Web3 aficionados crave games that are both easy to grasp and a blast to play, and most importantly you can win a ton of dope stuff!
At launch, players will dive into mini-games designed for everyone from casual dabblers to enthusiasts. You’ll use $APE coin to snag $INSERT tokens, which are your ticket to gameplay. Like those old-school arcades, you’ll collect raffle tickets to score insane prizes. Our simple-to-play, yet addictive games are sure to draw a diverse crowd of gamers, memecoin degens, and even everyday apes.

AIP-489: Restoring Balance
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
This proposal aims to allocate 13.8 Million ApeCoin in voting power to better reflect the contributions and stakes of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), Kodas, and Otherdeed holders within our community. We aim to create a more balanced and representative governance. We aim to create two distinct wallets; one for the monkees and one for the Kodas and the Deeds they keep watch over.
The Ape Wallet will have 6.9 million ApeCoin delegated to it by The Ape Foundation. The vote will be controlled by BAYC (2 votes) and MAYC (1 vote) via snapshot.
The Otherside Wallet will have 6.9 million ApeCoin delegated to it and will be controlled by Koda (2 votes) and Otherdeed Expanded holders (1 vote)
- This delegation will have a one-year term starting from the date that the wallets are used to vote in any AIP. The term can be renewed if a member puts up an AIP to extend it before the term ends. However, these delegations will not be used to vote in any subsequent decisions related to them, such as renewing, extending, or ending it early.

AIP-474: Delegated ApeCoin Community Voting Wallet
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
This proposal is for the creation of a 15M $APE multi-sig “Community Voting Wallet” controlled by members of the DAO community.
The purpose is for the CVW to be the voting voice of the community without the influence of whale wallets which tend to override the wishes of the community whereby whale wallets vote against the community pulse.
This mechanic will require a temp check voting period during which the “pulse” of the voting community is based on a “1 wallet = 1 vote” linear voting Snapshot recipe. The results of this voting temp check then determines how the community CVW votes on proposals.
The period of the delegated wallet will last for a period of ONE YEAR (term) from the date that the wallet is used to vote in any AIP. The term can be renewed if a member puts up an AIP to extend it before the term ends. The newly created delegation cannot be used to vote in any subsequent vote concerning its own delegation (e.g., a vote to renew, a vote to end the delegation early, etc.).
Background Overview

Despite the size of the ApeCoin community, a few whale (1M+ $APE) wallets control the outcome of most proposals up for vote.

In fact, the majority of token holders don’t actually participate in the DAO voting system.

The voting turnout continues to decline because, as in real-life, the general consensus among voters is that they can’t be bothered because they know that their vote isn’t likely to count.

In the June 2024 period alone, the average voting turnout for all AIPs was 189 (!)

The introduction of the Horizen wallet in the voting system last October has thus far created a polarizing effect whereby, at 4.3M $APE, it is now the 2nd largest voting wallet next to the Mocaverse (delegated by Animoca) at 6.3M $APE. And due to the turnout of the voters, these two wallets control the outcome for every vote in the DAO.

The effects of whale voting wallets controlling the outcome of the DAO voting is a centralized paradigm that is outside the realms of decentralization, trust, and fairness.

Putting caps on a voting wallet isn’t the answer as that will just lead to Sybil solutions whereby that same wallet can be split into amounts below the cap, then all vote anyway.

Bored Trading Co (BTC) concept evolved as a clear need to build collaboratively with over 400+ MBAs (Made By Apes) and numerous IP brands and projects. Coordinating with multiple IP brands, especially around major conferences, is arduous. Sending products, particularly internationally, is costly and time-consuming. High-profile events are often too expensive for a single IP brand to justify.
Recognizing the collective strength of the community with the launch of the MBA program, Jason co-founded BoredIn, a subcommunity supporting 200 MBAs founders building together. BoredIn focuses on spotlighting and aggregating IP brands and product media and research. Feedback from numerous IP brands & BoredIn highlighted the following major challenges:

Poor Visibility: Limited visibility and awareness outside Web3. While Web3 thrives on platforms like X, web2 consumers are on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok where there has yet to be an incentivisation of customers, buyers, influencers to drive content.

Limited Resources: Small IP brands struggle with time and money, even for essential functions like shipping, where commercial rates are 35-60% below published rates.

Distribution Challenges: Scaling distribution for large order volumes or international shipments is challenging.

ThankApe recently launched their BBAC Accelerator program which was celebrated by the community and we are looking to build off of this momentum and address the broader ecommerce flywheel out to web2 meeting consumers where they are outside of crypto Twitter. We will build our infrastructure to help the 30 winners of the BBAC while scaling to support the long tail of other businesses not rewarded. As ThankApe is a partner, we will work with them closely to further the impact and benefit to the ApeCoin ecosystem.
NFT NYC Case Study
We piloted the booth solution at NFT NYC during three events: NotNFTNYC, Clubhouse, and Bored Brunch, showcasing 13 IP products. The Bored Trading Co.’s booth drove conversation, inspiration, and even a couple of transactions. Rising tides lift all boats, and the AIP will allow us to scale this program with technology to accept $APE for onsite payments during events and support ApeChain in the future.
In addition, ApeCoin Powered curated boxes and bags with IP products will be deployed for smaller events and promotion to VIPs and influencers. Individuals and communities will be able to purchase curated boxes and bags directly from our e-commerce site. We will have a limited presales drop of the curated box(es) to drive revenue and accessibility. Ultimately, the goal is to drive leads from events back to the IP brands. Bored Trading Co. will help facilitate B2B leads with a 5% fee to support the financial sustainability of the project.

The team currently has many Shopify e-commerce sites including BoredIP.com and BoredBagels.com, which tokengate and accept crypto. We are partnered with NiftyKit and other technology partners to elevate the current solutions and develop new capabilities for onsite transactions and socialfi with ApeCoin & ApeChain. We will work to reduce the additional gas fees incurred when transacting with ApeCoin in B2C scenarios. In addition, we want to work with ThankApe on distributing the rewards back to the community. The funds would cover Bored Trading Co needs for the next twelve months. The goal is to secure significant lead conversions (targeting six and seven figure purchase orders) to allow a self-sustaining project with 51% of the revenue allocated to funding additional events, product, and team past the 12 months. The Bored Trading Co will strive to be sustainable while returning 36% (18% rewards to community and 18% gross revenue to the DAO) over the next 15 months from funding to account for lagging revenue until reevaluating the sustainability. Founders and Advisors incentives are based largely on successful leads and revenue. Any unused funds after 12 months will be returned to the DAO.
There are no upfront costs for MBA-approved entities to use this service. The cost to MBA-approved entities would come at providing necessary wholesale pricing. Shipping costs could be subsidized with the ability to utilize BTC’s commercial discounts but responsibility falls on the entities to ship product to The BTC warehouse.

PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
The Otherside-Wiki Team is reaching out to the Apecoin DAO for support in our ongoing operations, as well as in the further development, integration into ApeChain and enhancement of our platform. Our goal is to update Otherside-Wiki to align with contemporary web standards and to significantly enhance the user experience.
Since its inception on May 15th, 2022, following the mint of Otherside, we have been working to improve and evolve the platform. Our coverage and support extend to all developments within Otherside and ApeChain, with our priority being to provide timely updates and serve as a pivotal resource for the community.
Otherside Wiki was developed by our lead developer Frostyz. With additional funding from current investors and ApeCoin DAO, we plan to further expand the platform by bringing on board more developers who have specialized expertise. This expansion will improve our capacity for growth and ensure that the platform can thrive with a more diverse team of developers.
We have developed and enriched the experience for Otherside Users significantly, and also improved the filter experience on marketplaces. Within this we drove additional revenue to Yuga Labs and its partners, provided deep knowledge and data connected to Otherside, and enriched our platform with extensive deep data.
Currently we are the go to platform for Otherside data, marketplace browsing and information. To back this up with figures, last month we reached about 57k unique monthly visitors, which have an average engagement time of 20 minutes each, all completely through organic marketing and natural demand.
For two years, we have developed Otherside-Wiki at our own expense, without focusing on monetization. Our priority is to provide the best possible information to Otherside participants. In order to realize this and remain independent, financial support came from us, the founders, as well as contributions from Sky is the Limit Ventures and nix.eth.

Note from Agora-Marketplace.eth (SITL Ventures): In the last 2 years we’ve invested around 1,000 ETH in Otherside related assets and also funded together with nix.eth the first 2 years of operation for Otherside-Wiki. PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
Following the successful completion of AIP-383 deliverables, this Phase 2 proposal for The Public Bored seeks to expand our model and revolutionize the traditional billboard industry. Inspired by Times Square and now successfully tested at two major conferences, we plan to expand our innovative and scalable patent-pending model to cities worldwide, in the name of Ape. This proposal includes a 20% equity stake in the venture for the DAO, continues the revenue-sharing royalty from AIP-383, provides free display space to the Ape ecosystem reaching millions of people, and also enables us to activate at four more major Web3 events over the next two years similar to what we recently did at ETH Denver and NFC Lisbon. Additionally, we aim to launch a Public Bored token on ApeChain, providing direct benefits to $APE hodlers. The worst-case scenario of this AIP is we end up owning a reliable, revenue-producing asset that brings continuous value to the DAO.
In addition to succeeding at ETH Denver and NFC Lisbon this year, The Public Bored ranked 1st out of thousands of applicants in the Founder Program run by prolific angel investor, Jason Calacanis. This provides us with critical support as we scale into a Series A funding round next year. This AIP provides ApeCoin DAO with early inclusion on all aspects of the venture in order to be positioned longer term for max benefits as the venture scales.
Our model reimagines the global digital billboard industry in the name of Ape. Just as AirBnB and Uber revolutionized the hospitality and taxi industries, The Public Bored aims to transform the digital billboard sector, and to include the ApeCoin DAO on the rewards.
Over the past several months, we’ve tested The Public Bored model with thousands of participants across two major conferences, generated revenue, registered a provisional patent, researched prospective billboard locations, built relationships within the billboard industry, and navigated complex permitting processes through correspondence with various City Halls in major city centers. Additionally, our transparency and accountability reporting have significantly exceeded most other AIPs.
We envision a future where anyone can display messages or art on any digital billboard worldwide as easily as sending a Tweet. KOL partnerships and brand ambassadorships are a proven model in web3 and are widely adopted by top-tier projects in this space. To date, ApeCoin does not have a single partnership of this kind.

AIP-451: Improving Voting Cycle Efficiency and Shortening the AIP Process
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
This proposal suggests shortening and standardizing the voting cycle for Ape Improvement Proposals (AIPs) in the ApeCoin ecosystem. The proposed changes include reducing the voting period from 13 days back to 6 days and establishing a voting schedule that starts every Thursday at 1pm UTC (6am PST/9am EST/9pm HKT) and ends every Wednesday at 1pm UTC (6am PST/9am EST/9pm HKT). The assignment of AIP ID numbers would take place after proposals have been approved to move on to the Live voting stage, aiming to increase the value of each AIP ID # for accepted authors. Additionally, this proposal suggests making the mandatory 7-day AIP Idea phase optional for all authors, removing any period of time where proposals may be closed for community discussion, clarifying that critical community discussion and material updates to proposals are still expected to occur during all phases of the AIP process.

The aim is to reduce friction in the AIP process and better accommodate the global nature of the DAO.

Grant Ships: Accelerating ApeCoin Ecosystem Evolution aka “Ape Ships” is a proposed grants funding game specifically for ApeCoin DAO in support of ApeChain ecosystem development. The Grant Ships game is an “evolutionary grants meta-framework” that lets a DAO choose multiple teams of grant allocators (aka ‘Grant Ship Operators’) who compete to best allocate funds within a given domain.
This proposal is to fund 1 round of the Grant Ships game with the option to fund future rounds if the DAO likes the program. The Grant Ships platform provides a dynamic, transparent, onchain and community-driven funding initiative customized for the ApeCoin ecosystem to strategically fund sectors critical for the growth of ApeChain. This process will help ApeCoin DAO discover and empower the best allocators and the best projects aligned with their mission.
The Grant Ships game is at its heart a smart-contract-enforced governance system for grants programs. This means that the Grant Ships game has a clear ruleset and governance pathway where every in-game interaction is backed by an onchain transaction.
ApeCoin holders are involved at key junctures to ensure appropriate voter influence on outcomes without creating voter overwhelm or fatigue. DAO Voters influence funding direction primarily through Ship Operator and Game Facilitator elections and periodic TCR-gated Ship Operator portfolio reviews — the results of which determine relative Ship funding levels going forward.
Under the hood, Grant Ships uses Allo Protocol and Hats Protocol to provide reliable and flexible funding with revokable permissions — ensuring the DAO maintains control of the funds earmarked for grant allocation. There is also a “flag” system in place which allows the game facilitator to take immediate action if a Ship’s actions are outside of compliance. * Graduated Consequences: A yellow flag can be issued by Game Facilitators which acts as additional context to voters during TCR votes. A red flag is issued for obvious, repeated or intentional violations by a Grant Ship. A red flag suspends a Ship’s ability to distribute funding, until and only if, the DAO reinstates the Ship’s permissions through a TCR vote.

AIP-446: MineApes: ApeCoin in Minecraft, engage new people and learn about Apes
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
The initiative aims to support the ApeCoin Ecosystem by the creation of a unique Minecraft Server that will expose ApeCoin to different Web2/Web3 users. The Minecraft Roleplay experience we will realize, combines learning about blockchain and cryptocurrency concepts with the fun and interactivity typical of Minecraft. This server is a multiplayer experience where different players undertake specific roles and interact with one another within a virtual world in a story or narrative context. It’s an interactive environment where players could be creative, develop unique characters, and engage in gripping stories with others in the community.
Players will embark on their journey from ground zero, starting with neither money nor personal property. They will need to seek their first job or opt for education to acquire skills, subsequently advancing towards employment.

ABSTRACT:
MY Token cordially invites ApeCoin DAO to be title sponsorship in MY Token, the foremost Web3 event in Malaysia. Scheduled for the 14th and 15th of September 2024, this prestigious event will be held at the esteemed KL Base Jalan Sungai Besi (“KL Base”), situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Notably, KL Base has been designated as a key tourism destination, promoted jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (“Ministry of Tourism” or “Government”) and the Ministry of Finance of the Malaysian Government. In addition to KL Base, we have received invitations from several other prominent event venues and are currently in the process of negotiating terms with these parties to secure the optimal location for the MY Token event.
MY Token is the first Web3 event in Malaysia endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism. Working together with the government, the team aims to collaborate with various Asian NFTs & Blockchain communities to create an iconic Web3 event in Malaysia.
This proposal seeks to collaborate with ApeCoin DAO by providing sponsorship for speaking engagements, a dedicated booth presence, mascot integration, and support for engaging side events during the conference.
EVENT DETAILS
MY Token is the main event introducing the first large-scale WEB3 event in Malaysia. This event features an exhibition-style setup, a massive music festival centered around tourism, and WEB3 community activations. It is also the first WEB3 event to combine with entertainment events, drawing large WEB2 crowds.
The whole event will include:

This partnership aims to bridge WEB2 and WEB3, as there is no event to date in Asia that focuses on both WEB2 & WEB3 audiences. Bringing these two audiences together will create a larger voice for WEB3.
Our strengths are further bolstered by Zeus Events, one of the best event organizing companies in Southeast Asia.
Moreover, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism (“Tourism Malaysia”) fully supports MY Token and endorses all its related IPs and activities. This collaboration benefits both parties, enhancing WEB3 for tourism, community engagement, networking and project building.
This marks the beginning of a significant collaboration between ApeCoin as a title sponsor and the Malaysia government, namely Tourism Malaysia, to promote WEB3 through the activities mentioned above.

This will include Web2 business potential, bridging the ecosystem across.
- Educational Outreach: ApeCoin can educate attendees about its unique value proposition and applications within decentralized finance (DeFi), fostering awareness and adoption of the ApeCoin ecosystem.
- Ape Chain: Ape Chain can be introduced through this event for existing projects and developers, considered as launchpad and for chain solutions. This will require a spokesperson from Ape Chain to be present and we will organize a session specifically for Ape Chain. Below is the breakdown of the total request for sponsorship for ApeCoin DAO’s participation in MY Token 2024. The breakdown will be covering expenses related to the following:

AIP-436: Enhancing Financial Decision-Making with Super Majority Voting of 69% for Allocations over US $250,000
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
This AIP proposes a modification to the ApeCoin DAO’s decision-making process by requiring a super majority vote for any proposal that involves spending or allocating more than USD two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) of DAO resources. A super majority, for the purposes of this AIP, is defined as at least 69% of the total number of tokens cast during voting in favor of the proposal without consideration of any abstained votes. In the case of proposals with funding requests designated in $APE (or any other non-USD denomination), a USD-value determination must be made during the review period prior to the voting phase, and to be clarified for the community under the Overall Cost section of the relevant proposals.
This passing of this proposal would constitute a material change to AIP-1 (notably Phase 7 of the AIP Process) and AIP-2.

AIP-438: ApeCoin Ventures
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
Team Formation
Animoca Ventures, an early stage venture capital arm of Animoca Brands, proposes the establishment of ApeCoin Ventures – combining Animoca Ventures historical expertise with the community’s strong reach to amplify awareness and scale adoption and utilities of ApeCoin.
In a 1:1 matching structure, we propose the deployment of USD$5 million worth of $APE from the ApeCoin DAO, to be matched by Animoca Ventures’ funding of USD$5 million in fiat to create a combined US$10 million fund. Funding from Animoca Ventures ensures that interests of both parties are fully aligned for joint success.
The fund management is currently provided by ASCENT Fund Services. ASCENT’s role is to be a custodian and disburse funds, they don’t make fund decisions. They are licensed for these types of operations and we would set up the legal entity for this, which would happen very quickly should the AIP be approved. The suggestion is to liquidate the $APE received into cash as soon as practical so that we can match the amount in dollars.
No multi-sig wallet would be utilized because ASCENT would basically be managing fiat, so we would manage an orderly sale process. Animoca Ventures would be receiving the ApeCoin and sell the $APE to then deposit it as fiat to ASCENT, which would be matched with $5m of Animoca Ventures funds.
Investment Ventures
By investing together into early web3 ventures, we will drive and encourage integrated utilities and adoption for ApeCoin – leveraging our venture expertise to the community’s energy, reach, as well as opportunities, to generate long-term value for ApeCoin DAO and its relevant ecosystem.
Our investment strategy targets seed and Series A stage start-ups, prioritizing those that can integrate ApeCoin into their ecosystem with the goal of increasing the value, utilities, use cases, synergies, network effect and influences of ApeCoin.
Scope of Operations
Animoca Ventures team will be responsible for the daily operations of ApeCoin Ventures, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Investment & Acceleration: Besides investments, ApeCoin Ventures will play a critical role in supporting Web3 ventures like the role of an accelerator such as providing funding, research, and operational support to help founders scale their projects from the early stages.
- Research and Due Diligence: ApeCoin Ventures has a deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptography, security and protocols. It provides research and due diligence support to help founders navigate the complexities of various Web3 business models, programs and technologies.
- Tokenomics & Governance: Tokenomics advisory is one of the core pillars of Animoca Brands. It involves a great amount of industry expertise and trade secrets to excel to design token models that incentivize desired behavior, align with the goals of the project and ensure project sustainability. Governance models will also be examined for business performance uplift, risk mitigation and long-term success.
- Partnerships & Collaborations: ApeCoin Ventures will be able to leverage Animoca Brands network to help ventures connect to and collaborate with other projects, investors, and ecosystem partners to achieve their goals. These partnerships can provide access to new technologies, markets, communities, and expertise, helping them to scale and innovate more quickly.
Exit Strategies
Upon successful exits, 50% of the token proceeds will be sent back to ApeCoin DAO, with the plan (or an option) to convert profits back into ApeCoin. This approach aims to boost ApeCoin’s utility and adoption, leveraging our expertise in venture capital alongside the vibrant energy of the community.
Animoca Brands has had a history of successful web3 investments in the space some of them can be seen at https://www.animocabrands.com/investment-portfolio and https://animoca.ventures. Notable investments include The Sandbox, Axie Infinity (Sky Mavis), Pixels, Heroes of Mavia, xAI, TON, Immutable, Polygon, Berachain, YGGand many others including of course Yuga Labs.
The investment exit strategies are diverse and evolving. Besides traditional exit methods like M&A and IPOs (e.g. Coinbase went public in 2021), there are Web3 specific means like token launches and community-driven liquidity events.
In the event of a “web3 exit” (i.e. token launch) we would liquidate the proceeds/profits and use it to repurchase ApeCoin on market and return it as $APE to the DAO. It is 50% of all token proceeds because 50% is funded by the DAO.
The fund will receive returns in Tokens which it then proposed to swap into ApeCoin and return to the Foundation as per the proposal. It doesn’t receive gross revenues as it’s not your classical operating business.
In other words if the project were to receive 100 tokens worth $1 where it to sell them it would propose to use the $100 dollars to buy $APE and return the $APE.
If the Foundation desires to have us monetize the 100 tokens and then return it in fiat as $100 it could be possible but was not what was proposed.
BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM
Here is a summary of the proposed investment details:
- Animoca Ventures matches the funding on a 1:1 basis with US$5 million in fiat, together with ApeCoin DAO funding of another US$5 million in the form of $APE.
- ApeCoin DAO will receive 50% of all token proceeds upon successful venture exits in the form of $APE for future ecosystem grants
- Two-year timeline of fund deployment. Any remaining or unused $APE will be returned to the ApeCoin DAO treaury should the fund not be deployed within the stipulated timeline.
- The targeting check sizes are between US$100,000 to $250,000 per startup which would facilitate backing potentially up to 80 ventures at seed/Series A stages – curated to the highest standards
- A low management fee of one percent (1%) will be charged for project vetting, due diligence, ecosystem support, partnership outreach, and other services rendered by Animoca Ventures to carry out the required operations. It is 1% of the total and would be charged out of the total amount i.e. $10m (half of which is contributed by us). This is an annual management fee and as the fund intends to operate for 2 years it would amount to 100k per year and effectively 50k a year for the funds from the DAO. There are no performance fees charged for the $5 million contribution for the DAO, normally funds operate on a 2/20 structure i.e. 2% management fee and 20% share of profits but for the purposes of this proposal we will not be charging this.
- Exposure of APECOIN to a variety of promising startup and companies
- Growth of the APECOIN ecosystem as startups and companies who receive funding may choose to engage or support APECOIN initiatives such as adding utility and/or integrate APECHAIN for example
- The matching investment structure means we guide promising ventures closely through sizable joint ownership influence and incentive alignment. We focus this strategic guidance to:
- Align platform visions to grow $APE utilities and ApeCoin ecosystem benefits.
- Integrate token models driving measurable adoption.
- Forge partnerships that bring mutual value across investor-ventures.
With our investment matching, operating expertise and focus on early stage deals, we aim to increase $APE utility awareness and accelerate expansion of the ApeCoin ecosystem through promising, synergistic projects.
The following benefits are expected as a result of this proposed partnership from the perspective of ApeCoin DAO:
- More ApeCoin utilities will be attained with a wider adoption of ApeCoins within ApeCoin ecosystem and beyond.
- An expanded, more diverse and amplified ApeCoin ecosystem, in which more projects, partners, entities and use cases are expected.
- As a natural consequence of the scaled-up ApeCoin ecosystem, network expansion with strong impact will be further amplified as the investments and partnerships offer access to a broader network of potential users, customers, and collaborators.
- More credibility and trust will be built among potential users, investors, and the broader Web3 community.
- The investments and partnerships often involve resource sharing, whether it’s funding, technology or infrastructure. This can significantly reduce costs and accelerate growth for both ApeCoin DAO and the startups.
- Ventures and partnerships can increase global visibility for ApeCoin ecosystem, leading to an elevated global presence.
- The collaborations and ventures can contribute to innovation, ApeCoin adoption, as well as the uptake of Web3, in various regions and sectors by utilizing the assets and networks of partner companies.
- Web3 Enterprise Service Capabilities: Partnerships can help build Web3 enterprise service capabilities with global commercial applicability, which can be deployed to support technology advancements in various regions.
- ApeCoin Ventures can help build Web3 enterprise service capabilities with global commercial applicability, which can be deployed to support technology advancements in various areas.
- ApeCoin will become the hub for innovation to nurture the Web3 ecosystem and bring in extensive capabilities from partners, fostering a broad portfolio of investments.
- ApeCoin DAO will have the access to expertise in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space to navigate the complex and ever-evolving Web3 ecosystem. This will ultimately bring forth a more mature and healthier ApeCoin ecosystem.

Total amount requested from the ApeCoin Ecosystem Fund = $5,000,000 USD.
- Total amount requested from the ApeCoin Ecosystem Fund will be US$5 million dollars paid in $APE at the time of transfer (assuming the date was 5/20/2024 that would be 4,130,466 ApeCoin)
- US$5 million worth of $APE will be matched with US$5 million in fiat by Animoca Ventures, with a report of Animoca’s financial postion (indicating its ability to contribute matching funding) found here.
- We do not anticipate raising any third-party capital.
- The suggestion is to liquidate the $APE received into cash as soon as practical so that Animoca Ventures can match the amount in dollars.
- We could be open to receiving funding in tranches, but it would then mean we would only match our funding amounts in a similar fashion (i.e. if we receive 1M$ worth of APE we would match it with 1M$ of FIAT/USD/USDC at that time).
- No funds gained as a result of ApeCoin Ventures investment strategies would be used for voting, as they would be sold for the purposes of investment.
